How To Track Your Progress In Using The Law of Attraction
08th September 2008
If this is a new path you are on in trying to change your life direction, you may not know what to expect in terms of a time frame for signs of improvement.
For instance, an obvious thing is you wanted a raise, and didn't get one. You felt discouraged and somewhat down about that, then realized you were offering the universe down-and-out thoughts and you had better stop that fast!
Establishing new habits is less difficult when those new habits make you feel better. In fact, the best new habit to make is taking a few moments during the day to muster up the best feeling you can possibly feel. Is that joy, exhilaration, gratitude, or a mix of those?
Just sheer relief in the realization "everything is okay!"? Emotions can be jumbled and hard to describe, and yet you can be presenting a frequency that matches a wonderful reality creation for you.
Achieving a new goal could be just being able to do this once, or a few times a day. You could be measuring your success by how easy this becomes. Uplifting yourself is a good new habit to establish, because you do not need external situations to do that.
On the other hand, if you look for things to appreciate in the external world, there are many. Small things that people do, not even to you, but to someone else. You notice, you make a point of appreciating.
When you put your attention on good things, it gets easier to notice them. And it feeds you the spiritual food to do more of that.
Despite negative attitudes around you, which can feel bad if someone is working hard to introvert you or drag you into some sticky drama, you can return to a positive state of mind more quickly if you have a process or two to help you make the leap.
Carrying a few beautiful images with you can work too. Cut a few small pictures from a magazine of spectacular scenes where you'd like to go. Or a prized item you'd like to own. Try to feel your way into the scenario of having, or being, or doing something you'd love.
Give it a little time, and you will start noticing signs of improvement. If your pet peeve is "xyz", practice feeling the relief of "it never happens anymore". That's one way to begin measuring your progress. Whatever happens, return to the relief feeling.
I know you are already doing better with The Law of Attraction, or you wouldn't be reading something like this. You want to do more and then more, naturally. Once it becomes a focused intention, you will keep seeing signs of improvement and have both inner and outer ways of tracking your progress.
