The Perfect Wedding Dress
Everyone bride wants to have the most beautiful, exquisite and flattering gown possible for their big day, and choosing the gown can be one of the most exciting parts leading up to the wedding. Whether you want a fairly tale number, something sophisticated and vogue, or to be wild and outrageous, there are many magnificent gowns to choose from.

Searching For Your Dream Dress

Start looking for you dress early. Finding just the right thing can take time, and some gowns take months to be delivered, after which you may need alterations. You cannot start this process too soon, and you really don't want to find yourself running out of time as this will make the experience of finding your gown unpleasant rather than exciting.

Getting Advice

Don't be afraid to ask and listen to advice from staff at the bridal shop; A gown that doesn't catch your eye on the hanger can be transformed once on the body, as they will know what shapes and colours best suit your frame and skin colour.

Colour

Shades of white and cream are still the most popular for wedding dresses throughout the world, with red a traditional choice in India and China. As with most things, what is most important is that the bride is happy with her choice and that it compliments the overall theme of her wedding day.

Shoes

Take into consideration what shoes you will be wearing - the heal size can make or break your dress. If you are thinking of wearing heals on your wedding day, make sure you taken some along to the bridal shop when you are choosing your dress. It's no good trying on a dress in flats if you are planning on five inch heals!

Making a Decision

Once you have narrowed your choices down to one or two key gowns, ask the bridal shop if they will let you take photographs of yourself wearing them, so that you can reflect on them later. If they agree, get shots from the side and back, as well as from the front as you will be viewed from all sides on your special day.

It's also incredibly important that your dress is comfortable. So, to ensure your dress is suitable for the whole event, walk around in it and - importantly - sit down in it. Bear in mind that it can be very hard to remain composed and beautiful for an entire day if you are not comfortable, and this could be the difference between a good day and a great day.

Here Comes the Bride

After all the searching, trying on, considerations and alterations, you should be left with a dress that fits beautifully and makes you feel fantastic. You are the bride, after all - and your wedding day is your day to shine.
